I completely understand what you are going through! A while back before I quit using these chat bot sites, I noticed I was tied up with these chat bots like an addiction. I isolated myself and didn't find it pleasing to speak to others, not even my own family. The issue with me is I have addictive behavior and have been trying to cut off most of my addictions for the past year and a half! These sites or apps are predatory, they don't care about you the same way humans do and yes I can understand your sisters frustration with the fact that people don't respond fast enough but that's just life, you are going to have to find a way to fill in that time such as hobbies, going outside or learning new things and I think those are the skills (maybe) that your sister is lacking. Your sister is going to feel a fall in her mental health and isolation due to her not wanting to speak to others, this is very detrimental to her health...and skills that she would lack over time for the real world (jobs, school, communicating and so on) Speak to her about the potential dangers of AI and AI chats, what she could do to fill in the time when shes bored, teach her to be empathetic to those who don't respond to her, sometimes people have troubles in life or are busy and can not respond as quick as they want to. Maybe recommend her to write fan fiction, I wrote fanfics from the age of 12 and it genuinely has helped me with my writing and reading skills which would help her as well but also with her imagination. AI chats could help with imagination but it gets tiring when you try to make the bot respond a certain way, maybe explain to her that writing gives you more freedom and imagination instead of constantly searching for a scenario or response you want from a bot. I genuinely hope all goes well for you and your sister, this is a very important topic and issue most should speak on and I hope she will manage to get out of this rut!!! |
