highly recommend getting screenzen, such a good app if you're trying to stop checking certain apps out of habit or reduce your overall usage. ive been trying to reduce my time on youtube, especially getting out of the habit of needing to sleep with it, and i set my app to only allow me on youtube between 5pm-8pm. i've heard it's also better to set a schedule rather than a timer because then you're not still compulsively checking



I would get one of those apps that lock other apps but the thing is i can also use insta on a browser ๐Ÿ˜ญ so i dont bother with them

my first idea was to only let myself check insta at certain times but it didnt work so im just gonna take a long-ish break

thank u twin, for the words of encouragement, i am indeed very strong ๐Ÿ™‚โ€โ†•๏ธ i actually had to do this exact thing a couple years ago where i went offline for 13 days for a similar reason and i remember thinking afterwards that it was something i rlly needed so im thinking why not try again?

if it helps then u should definitely go for it!! i think decompressing OUTSIDE of being on social media helps a lot :)) i might try it out as well.. in solidarity !! (maybe for a shorter amount of time tho.. T_T)
