I also love philosophy and history, but i pretty much only know the stuff they teach in canadain schools so it's very western focused unfortunately. anyway, i like the way u think about life and memories. It really is how the internet and technology started out, like a way to bring people together and preserve memories. Thats why i moved to this site for the most part, because I don't agree with what the internet has become, espetially when it comes to algorythms pushing propoganda, and advertisements always trying to get people to over consume. Also I like the symbols in your profile pic, we align on most things but what does the little scull mean? |

Thank you so much!! 😁 It's really gratifying to have my thoughts praised by someone else. And, by the way, we are in complete agreement about what social media has become these days, I really really hate consumerism, excessive commercial advertising, political alienation, and artificial intelligence.
Now, speaking about the symbols in my profile pic: I love counterculture movements — like the hippies and punks — and I agree with the idea of "Peace and Love" and respect for everyone, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality. And the little skull represents my love for the 2000s emo/pop-punk aesthetic, but above all, it symbolizes the ancient Roman motto "Memento Mori" — which I try to incorporate into my daily life alongside "Carpe Diem".

this is the first time im hearing about "memento mori" and "carpe Diem" so i had to search them up but that is such cool philosophy, I completely agree with both and do take on "carpe diem" mindset in my daily like a lot but i haven't heard of the term before so i usually just say YOLO (you only live once). and ya i also love the punk and hippie movement, but its so sad to see them be turned into asthetics by the main stream, i used to be able to tell peoples politics by their style but not so much anymore.
