dude thank you for posting this it kinda acted like a wake up call 4 me. i would use ChatGPT like every single day for stuff that can be easily googled or learnt or sometimes i would literally talk to it and im realising that it's not healthy to be doing that. ive kinda given myself the excuse over these past months that i have nobody else who'll listen but honestly i feel like that's better than venting to a damn robot. thank you for this. |

Real, I hate AI so much and it grosses me out when people use it. I understand if someone has an addiction and cannot stop, but there are healthy alternatives, such as reading/writing fanfic, drawing the characters or making headcanons about them. Also, c.ai ruins your mental health and social life, so why would you willingly sacrifice them just for a few messages to a soulless computer pretending to be a character who will never be real? |

I used to be addicted to these AI bots and let me tell you something, if these users knew that they rent from google AI Data Centers, they would either stop or turn a blind eye. BTW c.ai does not disclose how much water consumption is being used for this site/app and for what I am going to assume, I'm going to say that they use lots of water based on how much these AI Data Centers use. The art of writing, reading, drawing is not slowing down but peoples literacy rates are all because they think AI is easy and it is, it's very easy to consume. People are role playing in discord, sites and such, people are writing fan fiction, drawing from fandom's, reading books of all sorts. If we could do that before the AI boom then we can go back to it no problem and no, its not just in your face... there are ways and many ways to shut it off on search engines but will I agree that social media apps use it? yes so technically it is kinda in your face so... avoid using it as much as you can. |
