Lowkirkuenly, this is the exact reason why i collect physical media. All of this is just bs, because for all we know they could remove content from the games/movies/and tv shows we watch just because it upsets some share holders and now we have to be fed a pre aproved cencored version of the original media. With physical media, thats not so much a problem, in fact it helps prevent this issue. |

Well said, love the lay out too, did you know Sony rolled an update of 30-day online DRM check-in for your licensed games? Think it's stupid Thank you I made it myself :P. 30-day online DRM is just the start of how far down they are willing to screw us over for extra cash, see it as a warning for worse to come if this continues 😆 oh yeah! It's definitely a sign of the times, not exciting ! by Lulu's Mauling; ; Report |

I find comfort to physical things like holding onto a physical copy knowing that its yours, but more importantly, it's the only real consumer protection we have left. Once everything is digital, its gonna feel like we're just permanently renting our own hobbies. If that profile goes away, your entire collection/money goes with it That's what I really hate about PC gaming, since steam became the monolith that it is, PC game discs have essentially become forgotten and I'm at the danger of having my 300+ games in my library from just being deleted at any given moment, I've started just pirating the the games I own and burning them on a disc. I've been looking for printers that can print on disc itself to customize the cases and discs too 😝 |
Exactly. To add onto the cultural argument, i genuinely would fucking hate life if shareholders had a say in what is culturally significant, what is approved and what isn't, it would make shit so stale and boring 😭
