Why: I've been getting into more screamo and metalcore lately and because most of it is about breakups or metal health stuff I feel like bands are less likely to take themselves seriously in those scenes you know? I know that metal spaces can be very 'macho' sometimes and people try too hard to edgy but everyone here looks like they're having so much fun! I dunno how BMTH acts now.. but it was so sweet to watch this and see Oli smiling and interacting with the crowd :) Plus it's a smaller crowd and the energy here is crazy?? Like I'm so hyped just watching this!

Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged

Why: I love harmonies and overlapping vocals and duets it's like my favorite thing ever in music so of courseI love Alice in Chains!! Layne was such a beautiful person and I feel like this concert represents him well because it's just as beautiful as him :( Especially this song the harmonies and so chilling... Urgh I wish they played Rotten Apple so bad!!!

Limp Wrist at Brooklyn Bazaar

Why: Queercore is already a subgenre of punk and just an underrated genre in general so it's hard to find bands within that sphere, plus ALL FRICKING QUEERCORE BANDS NOWADAYS ARE GARAGE/POP PUNK!! I mean it makes sense, Lady fricking gaga is like the most popular gay artist.... But do you think she cares about our history? Do you think she actually is a good person? Lol... I heard she's a mega racist.... A lot of queer history is already so lost through generation/age gaps, identities/labels being localized in earlier history, the fricking aids crisis which killed THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!!! So I love Limp Wrist like yes please keep screaming in my ears about queer love, sex, and culture that's so important to preserve nowadays when it seems like everyone is just turning on each other and becoming mega ultra conservative lol. Sorry for the rant but it's true!! Limp Wrist please come back! They barely have any social media presence so I dunno if they're even still active or not :( They used to have a myspace though like how topical lol
