Costume!!!

So, I've mentioned my Halloween costume before in my blogs, but I figured I should do a full update. The original plan was a fallen/injured angel, but my dress is too pretty to ruin, so were sticking with just angel, but somewhat biblically accurate because I love those, with all the eyes yippers. I'll post photos eventually of everything, probably, maybe. Anyway, so far, I've got the wings, I think I still want to tinker with those a bit, I'm not entirely happy with them, also it's good I haven't messed them up yet, so they're still nice and white. And I just finished my halo today, super cool, not how I originally planned but I still like it. It also only took a few hours total, but I started it yesterday. 

And I've got tights to make my legs white, and so I can stick eyes on them, or maybe just paint the eyes, paint would probably look better, more cohesive, I'll have to do that. And I've got my dress pieces, I just need to alter them a bit so they're how I want them. I've got a nice flowy dress and I've pinned it so it's high-low so you can see the leg eyes, but I'm not sure if I want to sew it like that, I can always undo those few stitches if want to wear it fully long in the future, because I just pulled up the front, I haven't cut it. And I got a over jacket thing, but it had proper cuffs, and I wanted flowy sleeves, so I got rid of the cuffs and the extra fabric from it being poofy makes it nice and flowy, but the edges are raw now, so I'm gonna get some lace to sew onto the end of them. And the jacket thing is loose and flowy, but for the ribs (will explain in a moment) I need it to be tight, so I'll need to adjust that too.

 And the probably most difficult part to figure out, the ribs, I have yet to start on those, I am scared of them. I wanted to have 3D ribs on top of my dress, if you look up 'ribcage corset' that's what I want, I think my best bet is paper mache? I think clay would be too heavy, and I want them to have the Enochian carvings Cas put on the ribs of Sam and Dean, because I freaking love that. So if I can, carving/sculpting the Enochian would be so cool, but if not, I'll paint them. I also got some face paint, if I want to commit to being fully white, if not them oh well, it was cheap so I'm not wasting much. And I'm going to the store tomorrow, so I'm gonna look for lace for my sleeves, and hopefully something I can use for my ribs, and also browse a little and see if anything inspires me to add to my costume. So yippers, I'll probably update again in a few days.
