DISNEY
So I know how long this took to get out... But this was because I was spending a week bedrotting and then the other week trying to find an image hoster... I know... What chud behavior... BUT I'VE DONE IT. Hopefully y'all haven't been waiting too long for this! If you have then I hope this post was worth the wait! Alright then, enough stalling let's start out with the beginning...
1 AM - HIGH SCHOOL
To catch our flight all of us stupid marching band geeks had to file into the school at 1 AM on the dot. I somehow managed to get there on time after taking a little trip to Wawa to get snacks. My brother was being a huge baby about the trip and he kept BEGGING to at least come with me to Wawa and the school. But like he took forever to get actual clothes on and forever to pick something out. I would've missed the bus if I hadn't grabbed a couple snacks for him and gotten out of there as fast as I could.
When we were in the school the adults mostly went on about the usual stuff for school trips and airports.
-No 9/11 jokes in the airport
-Remember your ID
-Did I mention 9/11 jokes?
-You can't be alone
-You MUST be in the same general area as your chaperone
-Remember the check-ins
-Curfew at the hotel is 11:30
All the normal stuff. So right on cue the bus arrives and everyone and their luggage squeezes onto the bus. The ride was like 2 hours long to the airport since we weren't going to the one closest to us for some reason... I don't remember a thing from that bus ride bcs I was DEAD ASLEEP. Actually... I can't remember anything from the airport or on the flight either. All I remember was taking a picture of this jank Eevee plushie I brought with me. Everyone was wiped out on the plane too which was also a 2-ish hour ride.
After the plane ride we had to get on the BAT (Big Ass Train) in the airport before getting on another bus to finally drive down to Disney World... Finally... After all that travel.. We arrive at Disney... At 9 AM...
9 AM - HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
We're finally at Disney and OMG IT'S SO HOT OUTSIDE OMG. Us New Jersey kids were just getting used to the weather getting better where we live but being thrown into Florida weather so soon was jarring. The first thing me and my friends did when we got there was go into some stores and I was heartbroken at those god damn prices... Like 37 dollars for Mickey ears?? Hell no..
Back to the weather right? One of my friends (Lets call her Peter Pan bcs I can) is unfortunately ginger... And she would BURN UP anytime she was in the sun. The NJ sun would burn her bad.. Now imagine Florida! But we didn't have access to our luggage or garment bags (Our Uniform bags and instruments were driven here so they weren't checked by TSA) so her sunscreen wasn't on hand. We wouldn't even be going to the hotels or anything until 9 PM. That's 12 HOURS in the hot ass sun. So we went on a side quest.. Get Peter Pan sunscreen!
This was actually way harder than necessary... We kinda ran around aimlessly because none of us had ever been to Disney.. Plus while trying to find sunscreen for Peter Pan my other friend Rin needed her medicine for her grandma knees so we tried finding the nurse so she could actually get it and take it... But I kinda forget if we got the meds or not because I was too distracted with how hot it was...

So anyways back to Peter Pan.. It took us an entire HOUR to find ONE STORE that sold sunscreen for Peter Pan and when we FINALLY got the sunscreen another issue arose... I was hungry... My fat self was HUNGRY... I mean we haven't eaten or anything since like 1 AM... So no shit I'm hungry. But it also took FOREVER to find a place that actually sold food and wasn't just snacks and wasn't RESERVED.
When we got food we just kinda sat there to get out of the HEAT and we stayed there for another hour before we decided to actually go on a ride! And I can't stress enough that the wait for this ride was actually HORRIBLE. Maybe I was just "Unlucky" but waiting in line for that "Runaway Railway" ride was terrible. The ride itself was nice but like.. The line wait was said to be only 45 minutes and my group and I thought that this was fine considering we've been bumming around for 3 hours and we have like 9 hours left. But most of that wait was standing in the hot ass sun. I started sweating. I hate sweating. And the ride was 5 minutes long exactly! I might actually send in the recording of us on it one day...
But anywho.. When we got off the ride most of my group agreed that we should wait a little bit but Peter Pan wanted to go on another ride but when we walked past this one Star wars ride thingie that had a wait of 5 minutes we decided to head on it since it wasn't a long wait. So we went on it and it was pretty fun! But after that most of my group and I decided to sit down for a while and we went to watch the Indiana Jones show! They were setting trucks on fire and shit but Peter Pan couldn't help but say that it was boring and that she wanted to keep walking and looking for rides. But none of us wanted to keep going in the hot ass sun so she went off with a different group.
The rest of Hollywood was spent checking out the park, hanging out and chatting, and eating. If you think that's "boring" and that I "didn't get to enjoy the park". Waiting in ONE long line here showed me how mind numbing waiting in lines here can be. Plus I enjoyed it more when me and my group were just taking in the vibe of the park rather than hunting down rides in 90 degree weather.
I remember watching the villain show too and it was honestly pretty fun! Although I wish that Jafar was one of the villains I could've chose for the stupid thingie :(
ANYWHO. We eventually get to the hotel for the first time! Thank god we did too because I was so done with being here because there was honestly nothing to do that didn't take forever, wasn't reserved, or wasn't a store. The hotel was super nice though! Me and Rin got in first and we got our showers, turned on the best channel.. The weather channel.. And I went to sleep.
My rating for Hollywood since I'm rating them now is a 2.3/5
Maybe I was just cranky that I didn't get enough sleep but I was NOT having it. It was too hot, there was practically nothing to really do, and it felt exhausting to walk around there.
