Despite being an offline game this game has time events using your ds clock, it has 'friends' social interaction, feeding. It does fall short though once you unlock and buy all the content. While time events continue to make the game feel like it still has life to it.
When I max my rank on the game I'm selling it for the full 6$ back because social media is already tough to deal with while it's addictions.
What do I think maks it addictive. It all has to do with repetitive feed back loops, and unpredictability elements.
The games settings also change from day to night based on the time. Specific events will trigger based on the specific day in the game where you can unlock pins or other collectibles.
Everyday Stitch and Simba will even get daily random photographing challenging where you take pictures of characters doing things or standing next to other characters. You can't access the next picture challenge untill the next day on an offline ds game. I wasn't expecting a game like this on the og DS.
I played it so much today compared to other games on the system. To the point that I barely checked friendrewind after I started playing it today. I bought the game not knowing or expecting an offline DS game to be this addictive offline.

I haven't heard of this game before but it looks interesting.
