Doctor Who Series 1-7 Ranked

I'll preface this by saying please do not take offense at any of the following statements I'm about to make. I'm not here to start any arguments or to mock anyone's taste, any criticism towards characters is usually criticism towards the writers and NOT the actors unless stated so.

Additionally I'd like to state I have currently only finished Series 1 through 7, I am watching Series 8 as I am writing this.

!SPOILERS AHEAD, ALSO DON'T SPOIL ANYTHING FOR ME!

This ranking is from worst to best:

Series 6: In my opinion this series had a lot of potential, but falls flat by constantly shooting itself in the foot with a good setup, but a bad payoff. They set up exciting plot lines and then wait too long while adding too little to pay them off properly. I spent most of Series 6 either bored or confused. Also sad to say that this series was such a miss for me it kind of made me dislike the 11th Doctor and Riversong. One Ood point.

Series 7:
I liked the characters this series quite a bit more than last one, Clara was a refreshing new Companion after having Amy and Rory around for 2,5 seasons.
The standout episode this series to me is The Day Of The Doctor. The three doctors have such a fun dynamic and the episode utilizes time travel in such a fun way to set up things within the episode, 'Same software...'.

Series 5: Alright, moment I come clear about the fact that I am just not fond of the dynamic between The Doctor and Amy, there's something witty missing between them and I don't actually remember any moments between the two that I particularly enjoyed across all of Amy's time in the show, cough Moffat can't write women cough.
That and I'm just a huge fan of the more desaturated and gritty tone, but 'wholesome' (for lack of a better word) storytelling that Series 1 through 4 had to offer. With the shift from Series 4 to 5 the show lost a lot of it's familiar charm and -in my opinion- started to feel a lot more corporate and less down to earth.

Series 3:
Some of my favorite episodes come from this series, Gridlock, Evolution of the Daleks and Daleks in Manhattan. As well as the intro to the Weeping Angels.
However, it also has some pretty weak episodes, 'The Lazarus Experiment' as well as the three final episodes.

Series 2: Overall I really like this series. New Earth, The Girl In The Fireplace, Impossible Planet and Satan Pit are absolutely amazing in my opinion. Also receives Ood points.

Series 1: 9th Doctor is my favorite doctor currently. Also Bad Wolf.

Series 4: I love you Donna, I love you Ood. I think this series does right what series 6 did oh so wrong, instead of setting up the big and adding the small, set up the small and add the big. All of the missing planets leading up to Missing Earth is a nutbustingly good finale.
