Does anyone that knows electronics want to help me?

Hi hi hello! I'm currently wanting to make my very own cyberdeck! I find the concept very cool and plan on salvaging parts from whatever I can find.

Buuuuut the thing is I still need to buy part and I'm extremely nervous about buying the wrongs things. I know nothing about electronics and so would appreciate any kind of help to find cheap and easy to use components for my builds! Mostly nervous about buying things and then realizing that they're not compatible with the rest of something or buying something that breaks and stop functioning too easily...

Also if it's okay to friend and talk in dm cuz I might have SO many questions all the time (I might be annoying lol I just want to be sure)

Figured I might ask here cuz I don't really trust other platforms 😓
