Something I’ve always wondered is why a lot of people take “rare” and shorter usernames on all platforms… I only took @futaba on here because she’s my oshi, but otherwise, I would’ve just taken my typical username from everywhere else
I really don’t get the appeal to be honest… is it because it looks more clean and memorable? Either way you still have the freedom of html and css on here

its really recognizable i think. like youre gonna remember the username @fred more than @xXDemon_Lord4695Xx you know? well for me at least, with really long users (especially with unnessecary characters and numbers) my brain just kind of skips over them
True true…… my main username is two words but I always see everyone fighting over good usernames on a lot of platforms or straight up selling them
