Haihai !! This is just a general post looking 4 advice,,,
I HATE Spotify. So much. Not even just for its egregious use of AI or for it's greed but especially for the exploitation of the musicians on the app !!
Using AI musicians to replace ACTUAL artists is a special level of greed that should only exist in the bible and Spotify should die yesterday
I considered actually downloading my fav songs onto my phone but that's a LOT of downloading and idk if I wanna waste that much space (-_-;)
Anyway tho, I have a samsung / android and I'm looking for some alternatives, preferably free (๑•᎑•๑)

tbh i reccomend using physical media or getting an ipod.. it’s hard to completely get away from ai and exploitation while streaming music online without just plain pirating everything
Or i guess use bandcamp? It’s very good for directly supporting artists but i don’t see a lot of popular artists on there
I hate AI but generally i try to pick lesser evils then go out of my way to be completely ai free (yes it sucks but i have a very busy employed life LOL i don’t have a lot of time or access) i listen to cds when i can and i avoid all other forms of ai LOL
Hmm I'm actually thinking of starting a physical media collection now :p
It'll def take some time tho so in the meantime maybe I'll use a mix of mp3 downloading / pirating and bandcamp 2 support whatever artists may be on there,,
Ur real tho, it's INSANELY hard 2 avoid AI modern day 😓 I just try 2 do what I can in the meantime :3

Trust I WILL be on the hunt (my local thrift has lots of cds,,, tho they don't look good buttttt I can get 2 that bridge when needed)
The AI shit is irritating tho,,, like the most random stuff has ai now 2, nobody needed an ai calorie tracker or an ai powered camera or ai chatbots in shopping / music apps,, rlly

Ok wait i kinda got a solution for you if you have a desktop computer. There's a program called stacher7 that will let you download full youtube playlists as an mp3. So if you can find the songs on youtube music, and put them into a playlist then you can download them all at once automatically (itll take longer depending on how many songs you want to add)
also there's services like tunemymusic that will transfer your spotify playlists to youtube music if you don't want to transfer it all yourself (but it has limits for the free version so maybe you can transfer as many songs as itll let you and then you can)
i low key eat sleep and breathe piracy so if you need help i got you 😭😭 (and if someone that works for the government sees this: this is just a joke i would never pirate anything ever ❤️)

Yeah I just use an mp3 player, portable cd player and records :') I heard youtube music is great though and worth the money if you have yt premium!
Hmm physical media,,, I'm starting to consider it tho I will def need a while to build up a collection😞

I honestly couldnt find one that I liked so Im using an mp3 app and download all the songs myself. its actually pretty fun bc sometimes I just search for new songs on youtube and watch their videos too (which is something I never did while I had spotify sorry my 13yo self)
Honestly I've been 100% considering this,,, it's a little tedious but. It's seeming 2 become a better idea the more I look into other apps,,,
