Talking about songs that make me feel something - Clocks by Coldplay ♫⋆｡♪ ₊˚♬ ﾟ.

Helloo, this is a new thing I want to try where I talk about songs that make me feel something, as said in the title lol. And yes, I know all songs make us feel something, but for this blog "series" I'm doing, I am specifically talking about these songs that evoke a strong, soft and a bittersweetly nostalgic feeling :P

For the first blog of these series, I will be talking about 'Clocks' by Coldplay! :D

I remember listening to Clocks back when I did my GCSE's last summer; the sky would be a light yellow with soft pink streaks across it, and I would start my day by listening to this song, and similar songs with this vibe. It always gave me a bittersweet, nostalgic feeling, (to be honest all Coldplay songs do) but it helped me get ready for my upcoming exams, and just for the day in general! :D

Additionally, Clocks kind of makes me feel as if I'm running in a field, the summer breeze rippling my hair as I feel the crisp air in my face. Listening to Clocks also makes me think of a cloudy spring/summer day, where the clouds don't seem depressing, but rather calming in the midst of the hot temperatures during the season.

Bit random, but it also makes me think of a romance I never had. When the piano starts at 2:26 in the song, it gets me thinking of an unknown lover, I don't really know why, maybe because the song sounds sort of hopeful and warm, hence it reflects a loving relationship? In my opinion, this is what makes this song even more nostalgic, it's like I'm thinking of memories I had with a past lover in another life I had, as corny as that sounds 😭

Lastly, this song kind of makes me homesick, because it reminds me of my childhood in Spain in the early 2010's, especially when it says, “Home, home, where I wanted to go” since I moved to England six years ago - but I still go back for the holidays! :D
