STUFF ABOUT THE JOURNAL
On my first blog post aka the last blog post, I talked about this one journal that's in a cemetery near my house. I said I'd go check it out, and today I actually did!! SO. I have stuff to talk about.
I'm not one to say stuff about how it just "feels weird" in places, but going to the cemetery this time genuinely felt very odd. Normally it doesn't bother me and I quite like it, but today of all days wasn't really the same. One odd thing that happened was that I heard what seemed to be two dudes talking; I could hear them very clearly as if they were beside me, but they were probably 30 feet away if there were even any guys to begin with considering the cemetery was empty. The only "company" I had there were a bunch of birds just hopping around. The talking just randomly stopped when I started walking.
The second odd thing was that I kept hearing footsteps behind me. I think this was probably just my brain trying to catch up with randomly hearing some guys talk while I was alone, and you might think it was my footsteps. I disagree. My shoes make a very specific sound when I walk both from leather and just how I broke my boots in at a weird angle; these footsteps sounded like patters and were quick.
NOW. About that journal. In the recording I made which I sadly lost footage of, I said it'd be really hilarious if the journal simply wasn't there because I'd look like a total idiot, and guess what? No, the journal was actually there, but it was in a weird position. See, the tree it was in has this structure where if something fell from where the journal was originally located, it would just fall forward or fall backwards. The journal had fallen completely sideways and was even supported by the tree trunks. It didn't have much writing, just a bunch of scribbles and torn pages. Broken spine too. I think someone either relocated it or ran away in a hurry and dropped it, or the absolutely abominable wind here in MA shook it up. Thing is, I don't get how the wind could've done that. It looked far too neatly placed.
Something I thought was cool was this printed out picture I found close to the journal. It looked like the cemetery from the tree view, but it was far brighter and looked kind of old. The date of print said it was May something with a 3 (likely 13) of 2003 or 2013, probably the latter.
I think someone had beaten me to it (the journal) before I could get a proper look. Kept feeling like I was being followed after. Plus, my cap was horrifically sweaty, and I do not enjoy sweaty caps.
This cemetery is right in front of a church with this cool statue. I'll try to get a snap of it to show y'all. That is pretty much all I wanted to say.
Get scratched!
