This story is NOT me getting jealous over my boyfriend, our relationship is patchy. It’s somewhat necessary info
so I have a guy friend (S), Ive been friends with him for months, He’s very nice and funny and cool! he’s honestly the best, and for a bit it was fine. My relationship with my boyfriend is pretty bad, and honestly I’m kinda tempted but I’m NOT a cheater so we’re just talking.. me and S talk all the time and i don’t feel like i have to pretend to be someone im not , we match profiles too<3 but i get a little jealous, theres this girl named E is friends with me and him but i get a little jealous when they joke, its literally been only once of what i’ve seen, and I’m the one who told him to dm her cause she was funny, but i feel like I’m being forgotten or replaced. Like, my birthday just passed snd my boyfriend just got me a gift, i just got him a figure and a watch, his birthday is in august and i don’t want to be a dick that just leaves after getting something. so i was planning on getting him a gift and breaking it off but I’m afraid S doesn’t want to wait for me. I want to be S’s person i want to be the main girl he talks to and i am!! the thought of not being just knocks me off guard.
Even if I’m not cheating, i know I’m being unloyal.I wish my boyfriend would just call it off because he isn’t happy either.
I didn’t put this under romance because this is a poor excuse of it.

You know, uhmm.... If both of you aren't really happy anymore with your relationship and it's pretty toxic.
Just breakup, for the right reason because you're not happy anymore and it doesn't work for you anymore.
I'd say wait for quite a bit like three months before you start over again with somebody else.
If that "S" dude isn't willing to wait for you then he hooked up with somebody else then he isn't the right guy for you and could be something else.
Honestly you could be happy just being single and not tangled in a unhappy relationship.
You aren't cheating as long as there's no sexual going on between "S" and you and just having a friendly relationship.
