If you are a guy and he is straight then that is impossible. If he is not then maybe you could. Also do you know for certain if he is straight? If not you could ask him in a very respectful way maybe. Like if you dont think he is homophobic and you go up to him in a respectful manner that does not accuse him of being gay or bi maybe you could find he isnt straight. If you are a girl tho you could just go and compliment him idk.
