Why is friendrewind so much more active than Spacehey? (not complaining tho XD)

So like, im just rambling a bit with this but i genuinely wonder. Like one reason I like this site is cuz people are actually active on it (among other reasons) but why? Compared to spacehey this site is arguably a lot smaller and newer; I've been on spacehey for a couple of years but its always been so dead. its quite sad but it also doesn't make sense to me considering that spacehey was sorta THE myspace clone that took off and gained popularity, yet it is extremely inactive.

Like the groups on there are absolutely dead, and so are a lot of users (not literally) like half my friends on there havent been active in like a year sometimes. And comparatively, on here when I post a simple blog entry rambling about my physical media or whatever, I get multiple people commenting on it who usually arent even friends of mine! like there is a social activity on here that is nonexistent on Spacehey and i genuinely want to know why that is. Is it just that this is NOT spacehey? is it cuz the userbase is smaller? Is it just the specific users on the platform?

Anyways just a ramble, but this is the main reason I like this platform more than spacehey, along with its other unique features, what do ya'll think and if your on spacehey has your experience been like this or something different?

There are a few reasons that Friend Rewind is more active: For the past few months SpaceHey has been invite only. This has caused a massive slowdown in growth. Less growth = less active users. The lack of moderation. Spam, gore, preds, and more have been able to permeate the site. Nothing is being done about it. IDK what the case behind that is, but it doesn't seem good. This has been causing a great migration from SpaceHey to other sites like Friend Rewind. Inactive users. SpaceHey has about 2 million accounts, but many of them either were banned, or have stopped using the site for one reason or another. The lack of active users is another reason for the migration. Lack of features. SpaceHey is more of an accurate recreation of MySpace in its heydey. As nostalgic as MySpace may be, people want more. Friend Rewind has more unique features, so for some it's the better site. Drama. I don't really want to get into it here, but there have been some pretty gross situations and toxic people posting. Lots of talks about triggering topics, accusations, etc. While those kinds of posts may still exist on here, it doesn't seem to be as prevalent on Friend Rewind as it is on SpaceHey. Let's just say, there's a reason there is a "Crisis Support" section on Friend Rewind. The only reason I'm still on SpaceHey is cuz I came in before the invite only switch, so I don't want to delete my account just to change my mind and need an invite code. Ya makes sense. I mean- what i wondered is kinda WHY so many users exist but are inactive. I would think that an invite only community would be more active cuz it only lets in users who want to participate (look at Toyhouse!). And also- i wasnt around in the original myspace days but i know it was popular, but i dont understand why a 1 on 1 recreation of it isnt. Also- im on spacehey basically for the same reason. I got my account i think back in late 2024 so i dont really want to delete it, but I also have kinda given up on posting on there, and at this point only keep the account cuz I dont want to regret deleting it. the community here is just so much more active and i like it a lot more by Zô; 3 weeks ago (edited); Report
Jamz💋	3 weeks ago (edited) Report Some the main reasons why Friendrewind it more active (imo): Influx of napo and spacehey users trying to find alternatives, and finding themselves on this site Developer actually communicates and is active That's literally it, at its core. If An was more active and listen to his community and implement what they wanted. Spacehey will also be active as well.

GOAT	3 weeks ago (edited) Report its prob because stuff on here actually works and when it doesn't, stuff is patched up since our admin actually listens to ppl we have the makings of a solid community here, with plenty of decent features i mean sure spacehey was kinda okay but frenrewind is king now xoxo
