This is copy and pasted from spaceyhey sorry about the weird formatting lolz.
When I was 15 I first started to love horror movies, and I spent most of my summer watching multiple every single night. With my qualifications I believe that I am able to speak on one of the best sub genres of horror. obviously, this is opinions based lol
One of the scariest movies I watched was the popular Poughkeepsie Tapes, now I haven't watched it in three years so I'm gonna go off memory, however, this movie was the first mockumentary I ever watched and I remember half way through I had to turn the lights on in my room and lock my windows because i was so scared. Another time this happened was when I watched the Taking of Deborah Logan.ย
Now for my reasoning, there's something about how real it feels. How the actors interact and how its shot through a camera man, it brings an extra level of realism to an already scary situation. Theres a level of psychological horror to it aswell.ย
If you also love mockumentaries I would recommend youtube horror series such as EMH or Marble Hornetsย
