Hello world, I'm still new to friendrewind, but I love this community so far! Since I'm bored and also since Bring Me The Horizon is one of my fav bands, I've decided to rank every album/EP!
P.S. this is just MY personal opinion!! But feel free to add your thoughts!
11. This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For EP (2004)
This was BMTH's debut EP. It's good old-fashioned deathcore that stands out from the rest of their discography. The chaotic riffs and vocals definitely elevate the experience. However, it's much more outdated and unpolished compared to their later work, which is why it's ranked last in my opinion.

10. Music to Listen To... (2019)
By far BMTH's most experimental work. I heard someone describe this album as "experiencing an acid trip," which is certainly true. I love the ambient, mysterious feel of this album, and the creativity caught my eye. Although it's not downright awful, the rest of their work is miles ahead.

9. Count Your Blessings (2006)This is vintage deathcore BMTH, an album that pioneered Myspace-era deathcore as a whole. It features many of BMTH's classics, and Oli's vocals sound insane! Lee (lead guitarist) also does a great job at the many intricate, fast-paced riffs you hear in the tracks. I think the album fell victim to poor production, but it contributed to helping CYB feel more raw. BMTH evolved much more beyond this album, but it remains a landmark of the 2000s deathcore scene. I will be ranking the repented version btw!
Favorite Song: Medusa
8. Suicide Season (2008)
This is another classic BMTH album! The production is definitely an upgrade from CYB and still holds up to this day! This album stands out because it feels like a perfect storm of raw deathcore and 2000s metalcore. The songs here (Chelsea Smile, Diamonds Aren't Forever, etc.) are always something that feels great to go back and re-listen to!

7. That's The Spirit (2015)
This album was my very introduction to BMTH! For me, this is what definitely feels the most mainstream compared to the rest of BMTH's work. There are a lot of gems in here that I love (cough cough Drown), but also some tracks that I don't love as much. Overall, I think the album feels very polished, and the electronic/pop elements mix very well!
Favorite Song: Drown, close second is Avalanche and I hope they put it back on the setlist someday :(
6. Count Your Blessings | Repented (2026)
I know that this may be recency bias, but please hear me out. 20 years after the original CYB, during which the band went through many eras and sound changes, and the fact that they can still do deathcore is INCREDIBLE. The production is a major step up from the original, Oli's vocals are even more insane, Lee is still a riff master, and Mat is a force of nature on the drums! My only nitpick is that there are some parts in the album where the drums drown out the rest of the song, but other than that, this album felt very refreshing to listen to.
Favorite Song: Still Medusa, but Dehumanized is a banger!
5. amo (2019)
I know this is the most divisive album in BMTH's discography, but please hear me out (again)! I think this album holds up very well. Some of Oli's best songwriting is present in this album, and I love the way it mixes EDM/pop with rock, similarly to That's The Spirit. This is a major departure from their normal sound, but they handled it so well.

4. Post Human: Nex Gen (2024)
There's something about this album that feels REALLY good to listen to. A lot of the songs are very catchy! Tracks like spiritual and R.i.p. are very experimental, but you also have more emo/pop-punk songs like Lost (which really reminds me of I'm Not Okay by MCR which was definitely an inspiration), and then heavier songs like Amen. This album feels like everything about BMTH in one package, and that's why I love it!
Favorite Song: Strangers (close 2nd is Top 10 statues)
3. Post Human: Survival Horror EP (2020)
This is part 1 of BMTH's Post Human series (Nex Gen being part 2), and it definitely sets the tone for what Nex Gen later incorporated. I love the theme of this EP, how the lyrics resemble a dystopian society, which perfectly resembles the 2020 COVID lockdown. I rank it a bit higher than Nex Gen because the sound feels more consistent throughout the entire album.

2. There Is a Hell... (2010)
It's fascinating how this album has existed for 16 years, and the quality still holds up after this long. This is BMTH's first magnum opus. There Is a Hell has Oli's best songwriting in my opinion, and the lyrics have so much emotional depth. The orchestral elements feel great on songs like Crucify Me and It Never Ends, and the breakdowns hit. They REALLY hit. This would be their best album if it weren't for the other masterpiece they released 3 years later.
Favorite Song: Alligator Blood
1. Sempiternal (2013)Sempiternal is the perfect bridge between BMTH's past sound and their modern sound. Similarly to There Is a Hell, the songwriting has much emotional depth, but the production- everything from the electronic elements to the heavier metalcore elements- sounds insane. It was hard deciding between this album and There Is a Hell, but I think Sempiternal sits slightly higher. This one will definitely be hard to top in the future.
Favorite Song: Sleepwalking (close 2nd is Shadow Moses)

Music to... It's 2 chaotic 4 me and the songs are 2 long. But at least they collaborated with Halsey which influenced her very noticably when she made Experiment on me, on Birds of Prey, and that's gr8 because 2 me thats more preferrable than her usual thing
amo is by no means a bad album! It's just that it's bmth and therefore the standards are really high. In fact I have it in CD, right beside me! My fav song from ther iz Wonderful life. Itz probabbly the heaviezt and it haz a very exhilirating music video that gets you PUMPED for the awesome riffs! My fav non metal song from there is fresh bruises.
Post Human: Nex GeN don't go after me for not being that keen on this one, okay! To me it's a little like amo part 2. Many different genres mashed 2gether! But this time it's done a little differently, and better, maybe due to Jordan Fish's absence? We have so many gr8 and catchy songs here, I really like the melodies, they can get stuck in my head for days str8. And it's awesome, just like amo, which is why I think it deserves similar recongnition! Songs here r where I think it starts getting really really awesome and fun to listen to! I do have an emotional bond to n/A, which I'm trying to learn on guitar for my friend from a summer camp! But let's face it, Kool-Aid slaps by far the hardest, I made a custom chart on Sonolus 4 that one, so you know I really like it to spend over 20 consecutive hours listening to teeny tiny bits of it to make a rhythm game. (And not go insane)
Sempiternal woo boi I can sense the h8rs at the doorstep but W8! W8! Okay, hear me out! Again, the album is awesome, but I prefer them a little more scandallous. And also keep in mind that this is Bring Me The damn Horizon, there's other albums which are the absolute best albums I know, so we have really high standards here. Most of the trax here are more chill, but it seems to me that they are also too similar than usual. Like they aren't all the same, but I feel like there's too many elements used again. But lyrically, it does it job, trying to cover, well, recovery, but to a certain extent it's kinda symphonic metal-like. I listened to symphonic metal since I was out of the womb, my mom raised me on that. I've had listened to far too much symphonic metal through my lifetime for my own liking. I can obviously handle the songs here and I confess that Shadow Moses is just AWESOME and epic. but bmth can do better. Shout-out to Hospital for souls tho! That made me go through a lot of shift in my life smoother so Hospital for souls>therapy. But again I think this album is good as well.
That's the spirit awesome sauce album and to me, it's actually very far from "bruh, it sounds like Linkin Park". Yes I am aware that bmth gets inspired by LP a lot but this is way different than LP, at least to me. It's their own thing, made from the development of their previous albums. But the guitar riffs are awesome here, I love them. The foreshadowing of BMTH leaning into pop with Follow You was imo their best average joe normie song, but some others are pretty nice as well. My heart goes to doomed because again, emotional bond. Musically, I'm on a dillema whether avalanche or true friends are better. Happy song is gr8 but the breakdown is unforgivably cacophonic, I'm sorry.
Post Human: Surrvial Horror EPIIIC!!! I have it on gramophone so I REALLY luv it, okeh? Every part is so genious-ly composed, it's so well organised! Every riff is awesome! Wonderful melodies, best collaborations, everything is perfect! It's so hard to put to words. There's just so much variety and creativity the sounds are well-chosen, I have nothing to say, that would be bad. My fav is kingslayer, its the second catchiest bmth song imo and its sooo HYPE! I wanna yell it along live someday.
Count Your Blessings wonderfully composed idc they had no music theory, the melodies are awesome, singing is awesome, I wish I was there. This is my comfort album, I listen to it because its always louder than all the hallucinations and horrifying thoughts about myself flooding my head. The lyrics can be very questionable at times, I'll give u that, but other times the words are chosen pretty nicely. And I definitely don't bring it on CD 4 myself everywhere I go
There's a Hell... this is perfect. I think it is youth in sound form, the agonies, some of the joys. And most importantly, the fact its metalcore and so melodic. Lyrics hit very close to home, even though they are written subjectively because of that damn lil secret Oli sings of in Chelsea Smile. It's so hard to describe because my mind just instantly gets excited by it. The best song musically is uh um...the one with the swear word. Its awesome so many gr8 melodies. As for lyrics, I'm going with Blessed with a curse, again, means a ton to me.
Suicide Season BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST ALBUM EVER!!!!! LUV IT SO MUCH! Very melodic, that's how I like metal the best. The collaborations are well chosen and epic!! I cannot describe the adrenaline kick I get when I hear chelsea smile, its almost like the sheer excitement is bad for me. I very relate a lot to The sadness will never end, it makes me cry a lot but music wise its just so wonderful and well organised. And suicide season as in the song is also extremely well organised to me! I think it needs to be longer! Genuinely, 8 minutes is not enough.
Suicide Season does have really good collabs but bmth never really misses with collabs in general :D
