Hey Folks!
So I got a message in my inbox today asking about my profile picture and who drew it, so I thought I'd also drop this here as it's a very useful link to have for character design and initial concepts.
Whilst I do draw stuff myself, my profile picture actually comes from a character creator on a site called Picrew!!!
If you don't know what Picrew is, it's a fun site where users can create character makers by drawing their own assets. The majority of makers on the site are made by artists, for anyone to use for free - and the community on the site has a very strict judgement against genAI (as they should!!!!).

yesssss I've been using picrew for YEAARSS there was a time when I first discovered it that I would spend HOURS just making characters again and again with different picrews. a total addict !!

I used to browse that website all the time, it used to be a bit hard to navigate thpugh especially on mobile. But it was super fun.

i used to make powerpoint games for me and my friends to play, and i always went on picrew to make the character designs :3 i totally recommend making powerpoint games btw super super fun and easy

Picrew is actually fairly well-known and eminent? Kind of surprising that some people don't know about it
You're totally right! I feel like it never hurts to present an alternative option to drawing that doesn't involve destroying the world's ecosystem (cough cough genAI)

Thanks to Vin, I've been sober for 14 months. Every time I think about having a drink, I just make another little Picrew guy instead.
