i've used IOS for the last like...6-7 years, even more. and as of recent, i switched to android, from an iphone 11. specifically, a samsung galaxy s26, running android one, version 16. im a person who prefers predictability, so when i was greeted to the vast amount of settings, new icons etc, i got pretty overwhelmed. in theory this phone is stupidly powerful, so im hoping ill get used to it. it was ridiculously expensive as well.
im playing around with settings, trying to make it as 'dumb' as possible. its too advanced. i much prefer ios' 'plug and play' method.
everything feels just...cluttered.
advice is welcome, or something. :)

I've been using Android for quite a long time now and I haven't went to iOS and I'm happy with how Android is....
Especially it offers a lot of stuff that I don't think there is in iOS especially on the Gaming side of things.
There's a lot of High End Emulators here that's not on iOS especially with the new Sega Model 3 Arcade Emulator that's been released lately so you can play "Daytona USA 2" and other versions of it as well as "Sega Rally 2", "Scud Race"/"Sega Super GT", "Virtua Fighter 3" and others.
And it's quite really neat.
I don't think there's something like that on iOS as far as I'm concerned and the last time I checked on how Emulation State on iOS like way back in 2022 in it's Emulation Community it was quite left behind on Android and it's pretty much how Android Emulation was in 2017 while Android just got a really groundbreaking Sony PlayStation 2 Emulator that absolutely set the Internet on fire and it's "AetherSX2" and on the other side of things at that point it's got "Citra" which was a Nintendo 3DS Emulator and several Nintendo Switch Emulators has been out for people to try (But in a very early state.) and in the works in further development.
While iOS does have a Sony PlayStation 2 Emulator which is "Play!" which also was on Android but due to the approach of the developer going HLE, it was very left behind compared to "AetherSX2" with tons of glitches and still running on poor framerate.
Not sure how it is now.
But the others I mentioned that was out around that time it's not on iOS.
I knew iOS had a very powerful CPU and could step toe-to-toe with Android and have all this cool stuff, I've been wondering why not many utilize it and have the same thing.
I've asked this at one point on Emulation On Android Community and the answer someone gave that it's because Apple was very strict with the Hardware on what could it be used for.
That means in the other hand, Android since it's open source.... People could utilize any given hardware to it's full potential.
im not a huge gamer but i found delta emulator to work fine for nintendo games on iOS. the practical part is mostly whats bugging me. android does have lots of customization options but i found iOS to be cleaner, less crowded, as i said in my post. thanks either way, android is in fact superior when it comes to gamimg

Given the Hardware that iOS had, it had really good potential in Emulation Gaming.
But Apple was absolutely strict on it's hardware like the CPU that not many could really utilise it for Emulation and I think only those that who could are the ones that are verified to work around on it to make apps that's gonna be released on the App Store.
So yeah, Android is definitely the go-to for gaming.
