Does anyone have any tips when starting out cosmetology?

my sister was working towards her cosmo license! :D she did her soph and junior years of hs at a career-tech school, they taught her a mix of hair styling, braids, perms, cutting, bleach, dyeing also nails and makeup/some skincare! 
she loved her homework 2! in my perspective it was so funny seeing her have nails due at midnight xD
if you're still in highschool, mayb see if there are any tech/magnet schools with cosmo classes available in your area!
but if you're waiting until after grad start researching some beauty schools! :)
