I am 16 and explicitly state so in my profile, but I set a crazy fake age because I don't like putting my actual birthdate on anything....and I am now realizing that this site prevents accounts labeled over 18 from friending those under 18.
There's no way to change it without deleting my account and starting over, and I don't want to lose my current friends...☹

I set my birth year as 1926 when making the account, but I've had 16 in my bio the entire time...I just realized something was up when it wouldn't let me friend anyone under 18.

Yikes, you can just hide the age on your account....
Maybe you can just make a new account or something.
Your account seems somehow new here and you don't seem to have much friends so you can just start over again.
