hey so I literally almost freaking died last night!! I was at a restaurant for my Nonni’s birthday right? And everywhere I go I usually tell them I have a nut allergy so I told the waitress that I have one. Fast forward to the end of the night, you know how restaurants give you like a free desert when it’s your birthday and they all come out singing? Well they brought out like this big brownie with ice cream on top, and a bunch of plates so it can be shared. I didn’t really even think about if it would have nuts in it or not because like I told the girl I was allergic and she was like “thanks for letting me know!! I’ll let the cook know!” But anyways I took a bite and instantly knew something was off- AND I SPIT OUT A WALNUT??? I’m literally allergic to walnuts the most!!! So long story short I almost died, and it’s the next day and I’m still very much having a reaction like it’s not going awayyy <\333 moral of the story you can’t really trust anything and if you have a nut allergy confirm with the server that it has nothing in it :/

Damn, I have a nut/seed allergy too! I've had the same experience where the cooks at my college dining hall said, "oh there's no nuts or seeds in the food" and then I had a severe allergic reaction there because they mixed food with a butter that has sunflower seeds in it!! (I'm not allergic to all seeds, just three specific types but I avoid most of them cause I'm paranoid as hell). Anyway, I hope you recover well! Allergic reactions are a pain in the ass.
