im bad at ideas but maybe make a short film thats a metaphor for something? like take smt thats commonly misunderstood, research it, and then find a metaphor for it. then base a short film off of that. thats what i wuld do but idk my fav short films are girls love discarded cigarettes (yt) and float (pixar), so idk.
Idk I come up with story ideas all the time, I usually think of my favorite media and think about if I could make it better, just using my favorite things. Or if you look up wildlife I got this idea from a sycamore tree. They have peeling bark and like I decided to create this race of tree people based off of that. You can kind of create whatever when you put your mind to it!
