XBOX FANS: Happy with the direction of the company?

Let me start with saying that even though I posed that title as a question, there's... an objective correct answer. Yes!

Up until Asha Sharma took over as CEO of Xbox, we had been on this downward spiral ever since the release of the Xbox One. Microsoft felt like the Xbox brand had to cover every single usage and the console had to be a jack of all trades, so it just ended up being master of none.

Now we've got advertising that calls back to Xbox's prime (I won't pretend to be nostalgic for this. There's a lot of focus on the original Xbox in the current branding and advertising's theming, and I definitely was not around in 2001.) and really just adds so much character in a world where it feels like every corporation is trying to have a race to the simplest logo, the simplest branding, the simplest everything. Nothing can instill any sort of feeling anymore, it's all got to be simple and easy to swallow.

Beyond just the branding though, everything we've been hearing about the successor to the Series X|S is promising. A gaming PC and Xbox console, all in one, keeping up disc support while Sony makes the controversial choice to drop it. For the first time in thirteen years, it's almost shaping up to seem like Xbox could be the better choice for the next generation.

All in all, I think the future has never looked brighter for deranged Xbox loyalists like myself. As someone who grew up with an Xbox 360 and got to witness that sort of downfall a bit after it began, it kinda broke my heart to see how this brand really hit its stride before I hopped on and slowly became a laughing stock after I got involved, but now... well, things look a lot better.

What do you guys think? Anybody who's never had an Xbox who might be considering it now? Or do any of you have alternative takes and think that Xbox doesn't quite have it yet? I'll hear anybody out!
