Since I know everyone is so invested in this 🙄.
Everything is coming along as it should. The garlic is harvested. Beans and peas are ready-to-eat, although as usual I leave several on the vine to collect seeds for next year. Potatoes are all harvested. Onions, still waiting on some of them, same with carrots.

Chili pepper zone. The japapeno varieties (3 different types) are almost done. The superhots (reapers, a few habanero varieties, ghosts, and nazgul) are much slower to ripen. Some cucumbers are in the very back of the photo near the blue maple sap collection barrel.

Tomato, basil, parsley bed. With marigold. Lots of fruits now. All small and green still. Expecting harvest at end of this month.

Dill, radish and beet bed. The radishes and beets have gone to seed. Will plant a cool weather crop of radish and beet soon, with that seed. Will collect dill seeds for next year, and use the dill in pickling.

Cabbage, kale, cauliflower, broccoli bed. Coming along.

Corn, squash, peas and beans. Doing well, fencing installed to protect against raccoons.

Pumpkin zone. Doing well, but had to do some plant surgery to remove squash vine borer larvae on some of the plants.

Some of the harvested garlic.

Bonus photo of a cluster of male longhorn bees on thistle.

What a beautiful garden, I’m quite jealous. It has me wondering, do you mostly eat seasonally?
Hey Slug, yes I try to eat seasonally as much as possible. In the winter it becomes a massive challenge, but that’s what the garden is mostly for, since I preserve and store most of the food I grow so that I can eat well in the winter and not have to buy imported vegetables at inflated winter prices. Do you?

Sadly I do not, since I’m not at a point in my life where I have the resources to grow my own food, but gardening is a huge interest of mine and one of my main goals in life is to become self-sufficient (at least with what I eat.)

Amazing garden!
I've never heard of nazgul peppers. How's the flavor?
Thanks, I shortened the name. The proper name is Nazgul's breakfast. It's got a floral and fruity flavour (like most superhots), and the fruit is a dark purple/black colour. I like making blueberry sauce mixes with it, since the colours go well.

It is classic, my favorite garden bed of yours is the radish, dill, and beet because you let the other plants spring up in there. The visual is very beautiful and teaming with diversity. I am a fan of intensive gardening myself I find the pest have a much more difficult time.
I have not seen those bees in my area, going to look them up. Beautiful picture.

Most of the bees I see are my own, carpenter, leafcutter, and bumble. I have yet to work on identify the native insects, I have been focusing on identify and documenting the plants and trees. I am sure some I thought were wasps are bees.

Definite classic, that's for sure! I went with hugelkultur style beds (a form of permaculture gardening) for these ones, it's so much work to get installed but I really like the outcome thus far, and they're just going to keep getting better and more healthy as time goes on. I'm anti-mow so my entire property is filled with wildflowers and immense numbers of insects and bees. The bee houses I've installed are booming, and I think I need to make more for them.

i love this i wish we had a garden catagory
I do too, but I guess "food" will have to suffice. Also, nice username. Bumblebees are special.
