I seriously suck at most video games. either I get boredom them too fast or I'm just not technical enough to play them. The only game I've completed on my own was Poco and that was a very short point click game. The only ongoing game I'm decent at is project Sekai, but that's about it.
Despite this I love video games! I think they're so cool! They contain so many mediums at once and combine them into one interactive creation! Art, music, and writing, it's all so fun! I feel like combining these things together makes games so impactful, and the fact that you play a role in everything really makes it so much more touching.
Believing that, I've always wanted to make a game of my own. The problem is I have no idea how to code, and I have a horrible habit of dropping my ideas before fully developing them. It's a real shame. I'm somewhat competent at writing, but ideas for games is where my abilities stop. Working with others on it sounds like a cool idea, but finding collaborators is a definite challenge.

Its a wrong place to recommend AI but I will if you want to learn coding or exploit AI to code for you. As for sucking at games and dropping half ass - that's what we do, humans I mean. Keep in mind, when you get to the finish line of whatever, this very thing becomes the thing that you will hate for six months and only later you will be able to see it kind of from neutral view.

I don't think so, I love film as a medium but I've only watched a few movies in my life. I've also had that same problem to when it comes to getting my ideas written down, idk if you've heard of it but Milanote has helped me a lot when it comes to getting my ideas down. It's hard to describe but its basically a online version of the corkboard and red string that you see in detective movies.

video games are great because they offer you immersive worlds, well written characters and exciting combat.Just because you suck at them doesn't mean you should be more likely to dislike them because nothing's better than sucking at a video game and slowly becoming better at it.It's a magical experience
I still remember how much I struggled when I first started playing Dark Souls.The game just throws you in the world and you have to learn shit by yourself.The beginning was a hellish experience... yet magical.And now I can beat the hardest bosses in Dark Souls 3 with ease, and despite that, I yearn to play those games for the first time.It's an experience words cannot describe
