It’s like a ritual honestly. I love having the control of deciding how my hair is gonna look, or what outfit I’ll wear, painting my nails a new color/giving myseld a pedicure, and chosing a makeup look that fits the occasion! I don’t want to say it makes me feel “girly”, because performing femininity can look different depending on who you’re talking to. But it makes me feel put together, or more like putting on a character for the day. I love the performance of it all!

I get what you mean. I like going out specifically because I love the ritual of doing my hair, my makeup and choosing my clothes in a specific way that other circumstances wouldn't allow me (a.k.a work 😤). It makes me feel so good.
