So overall I think the site itself is really cool. I like how it has features that MySpace didn't have like the music player, games, and a video sharing aspect. I like how the site looks in general and how it has a dark mode. I also like how it has a "Games" section on your profile where you can write down your favorite games. I also like the site's emphasis on no ads and no addictive algorithms.
However, with the fact that FriendRewind keeps getting flagged as being mainly vibecoded, some of it's assets are likely AI generated, and the fact that Def3ct is problematic, I don't think I want to continue using this site. However, I don't want to use SpaceHey anymore either because as of now it is currently being moderated entirely with AI moderation and the creator of SpaceHey ALSO used AI in one of his own personal websites.
So I think I'm going to try and find another indie web blogging site, because I think this is a super cool thing but I personally don't feel comfortable using either of these because generative AI is just generally horrible. For now I found KamTape, which is reminiscent of old Youtube, but it is not a blogging site :(

The stuff he did is kind of minor so maybe problematic isn't the right word for it. He unbanned this one guy named Koltin who had SS runes in his username (Nazi symbols), talks to this one racist guy named Goat, on FriendRewind's Invites tab there is a link to Truth Social (Donald Trump's Twitter clone that premotes right wing and alt right ideology), and flooded Napochan and SpaceHey with accounts telling people to go to FriendRewind instead. He also had a "Best FriendProject Alternative" page and a "FriendRewind vs SpaceHey" page where he just dunked on those two platforms. I feel like these might be kind of minor things though since he technically never said or did anything racist or weird himself (besides the promo stuff but honestly idk if its that bad, just kinda narcissistic)

maybe you could try nekoweb? its not specifically a blogging site its just a platform to host your own custom sites that you make yourself with html but you can definitely use it to create your own blog! you can also follow other users on the site and update your own followers with RSS on the main nekoweb site in the feed tab whenever you post a new blog entry (sorry im not very good at explaining what it is or how it works exactly as im kind of new to the site) but ive been using it a lot lately and thats how i do my blogging!
That sounds so cool! I'll definitely be checking that out.
