I never understand why people get upset when really good artists or shows get popular, no other people aren’t a larp because they didn’t listen/ see something when it had 5 listeners. But people who pretend to know things just to sound niche pmo like no Jessica you aren’t emo for wearing a black Lululemon set. And when people get mad when others like a popular band or song. Why do you think it’s popular? Because it’s good! It’s only bad when you only know really popular songs or bands but call yourself emo or a fan. - Robyn out!

I think this is very common between us alt ppl, since we mostly are rejected by society some ppl feel like ppl who aren't as marginalized as them are not valid or larpers.

there is a strange “nicheness” competition going around. i agree, the popular things are popular because they’re good. everyone is striving to be unique and it’s just turning toxic so fast
