Thrifting, Yay or Nay?

Since the year 2020 and probably before, Thrifting I feel has become ALOT more mainstream. Growing up in a low in-come family meant that thrift stores and the like weren't an uncommon place for me or my family to be. However, with the revival of alt and or vintage fashion, more people make their way to thrift or antique stores. Before, getting your clothes second hand used to be considered embarrassing, but now its the norm. Here I feel, is where the issue arises. People who have no intention of wearing 'cute' or 'trendy' clothes will deliberately go hunting into stores to find and resell clothing for more than what it was originally worth. Because of this second hand websites, like depop or mercari have grown their own gigantic market. Which is where I pose my question,

 was the resurgence of thrifting a good or harsh impact?  Tell me what you think!
