I'm not sure most bands do them but the Offspring often put secret tracks/songs at the end of their CD's and theyre always bangers LOL
Is there an actual name for them?

people usually just call them hidden tracks, here's something more interesting
there might be hidden tracks in track 1 pregap
according to the red book standard you can add pregap between tracks
they were added for adding gaps between tracks without inflating the track's size
on normal play each plays out, except for one...
pregap of the first track does not play out
it's because every cd player starts playing at 0:00 of the 1st track so everything before that just gets left out
the only way to play it is to manually start rewinding the first track or rip it with software that can rip track 1 pregap songs
there's even a wikipedia page
and if i remember correctly the offspring had songs that were hidden that way
Omfg thank you for telling me i think thats pretty crazy and cool

I heard the Offspring Song used in Sega NAOMI Arcade Game that later got ported on Sega Dreamcast "Crazy Taxi" was a Hidden Track.
