I'm not sure how many people on this site enjoy Cavetown, but I've been a huge fan since 2020, and went to my third concert of his on sept 30th! The first two Cavetown shows I went to were at much bigger venues (especially Red Rocks), but this one was at a smaller and totally more intimate space (plus I was VIP and at barricade!). My bsf and I showed up at the venue around 4 PM before the line got too long, and I went in at 5:30 for a VIP pre-show experience (☆▽☆)! Robbie came on stage with about 30 of us in the croud and sang some acoustic songs (aghhh I can't remember all the songs he played but I do remember Juno, No Bark No Bite, and Lemon Boy) plus he answered some questions that we submitted beforehand! I sobbed the whole time LOL. I got a signed worm food album and a tote bag b( ̄▽ ̄)d. My bsf came in afterwards and we met a totally chill person that got us to barricade and I got to bond with them about being chronically ill (which it seems like a lot of fans at this show were). Chloe Moriondo was the opener and ohmygod, she was sooo incredible and pretty and she waved back at me :D Cavetown came on after and it was so fucking awesome, since his new sound is a lot more indie-rock adjacent it was LOUD and I was jumping like crazy (which i felt a bit bad about, I was almost the tallest person in the crowd plus I was at the very front). He played a ton of good shit, including every song on Running with Scissors except for No Bark No Bite. I swear the whole croud was crying during Home. AND, during Juliet he sat at the very edge of the stage RIGHT WHERE I WAS I did a half a heart with my hand and he did the other half with his (‾◡◝)
I miss it already lollol
