It sounds like you're looking for modern Found Footage horror movies. Unfriended (2014) tells the story of a ghost haunting a group of teenagers through face-talk. Megan Is Missing (2011) is a cautionary tale about the danger of internet chatting. Deadstream (2022) is a horror comedy about a controversial streamer facing his greatest consequence yet.Â
I tried to focus more on internet based found footage movies, but if I'm off the mark you can also check out Videodrome (1983). It's all about analogue devices, old media, and the fear surrounding these (then) new technologies.
