Does anyone else miss the old days of the internet?
I'm talking about the days when social media actually felt social.
Before everything became about algorithms, likes, followers, short videos, and trying to make your life look perfect, we had places where you could actually build a profile that felt like you.
You picked your background.
You picked your music.
You posted your favorite movies, TV shows, hobbies, pictures, and random things that made you who you were.
You found friends.
You left comments.
You checked someone's profile just because you wanted to see what they were listening to or what they had written.
That's the kind of feeling that brought me to FriendRewind.
It reminds me of that old-school MySpace era when the internet felt more personal. Your profile wasn't just a page with a picture and a username. It was a little piece of your personality.
And that's what I want to do here.
I want to share some of my memories, talk about music and movies, tell some stories, and maybe even reconnect with people along the way.
I'm 47 now, and I've lived through a lot of changes. Some were great. Some were difficult. Some people stayed in my life, while others disappeared along the way.
But I've learned something:
You never really know which memories are going to stay with you.
Sometimes it's a song you haven't heard in twenty years.
Sometimes it's an old photograph.
Sometimes it's a name you haven't thought about in years.
And suddenly you're right back there.
That's what I like about the idea behind FriendRewind.
It's not just about going backward.
It's about remembering the people, music, movies, friendships, and moments that helped make us who we are today.
So welcome to my little corner of FriendRewind.
Let's see where this takes us.
Maybe we'll make some new memories while we're remembering the old ones.
