I have had people as me why I need so much RAM. Well, it was never a need, so much as a want. Yeah I NEED 16 gb for basic computing? But I WANT 128 gb for ancillary bullshit. Yes, it may seem tone deaf to post this in the midst of a crippling NAND flash shortage but I dont care.
What does 128 gb let me do? Local host llama 3.3 70b vision, run genshin and an ubuntu VM at once without any dropped frames. Will I ever need to do this specific set of tasks ever? Probably not.

I had that much in my main system I built over a decade ago. I was one of the first people on the planet to make a consumer system capable of that. I regularly used over 100GBs without any AI, or VMs. :P Just browser stuff. It came in handy a lot whenever people in power would try to change history. Like on wikipedia they would change something, and they would change all of the edit history too. But I would still have the old tab open from months ago I would find and go WAIT A MINUTE! Learned some very interesting things that way!
