i've been on and off with practicing witchcraft lately with how busy i've gotten. but recently, i made another friend who is also a witch and they're the coolest ever! talking with them definitely reminded me to do deity work again, and so i did.
i offered a small measly candle for my deity bc its all i have left in my hidden shoebox altar rn (ToT) but anyways i invoked them, talked to them politely (they make me extremely nervous), and i asked for their guidance and protection. however, im not super spiritually gifted,,, i seldomly feel/experience paranormal things and my intuition is wack atm so i conversed with them through tarot cards. there is a VERY big difference when you're trying to read tarot alone vs when u have a deity active as your audience.
the rest of the details i'll keep private for now! be respectful to these higher beings!

Oof I've had similar experiences with tarot readings and my guides. One of them still makes me nervous to pray to. I'd like to think deities appreciate that you use the only resources you have as offerings to them. I'm a big fan of incense & oils for offerings so I've accumulated some of higher quality in time, but I started out small. Dedication & intentionality matter the most with them (though ik certain deities require different sets of rules).
im definitely appreciative my deity didn't seem to mind i only had short white candles !!! i do want to buy more high quality stuff, especially with incense scents specifically associated with them !! :DD
