I'm currently in eighth grade right now taking algebra 1 honors, which I am only in because of my state testing scores. I'm glad to be on the "accelerated" track when it comes to math but the problem is that I don't comprehend the material well enough despite getting some assistance from the teacher. Right now, we're learning how to do linear functions and graphing and it is literally kicking my ass. I am stressed out right now because I have to take an End of Course test on all of the units that I have learned in May, and I get anxious every time I have to take any test. I currently have a B but it could drop at any time. If anyone has any tips on how to get through algebra 1, it would be very appreciated since I am struggling with the material.
P.S, the only reason I have a B in algebra is because I had made a D on a test during the first quarter of the semester, and it was put in as a grade for the second quarter of the semester. But then, I made a 100 for simply writing down the notes for the unit we are currently learning and it brought my grade up to a 82% B.

as a high school student who struggles with math i honestly think that if u made it to the advanced class , youre fine . in 8th grade i failed math the YEAR , but i think my best tip for u is that you should have more faith in yourself , there are plenty of easy units in alg1 that are basically just calc work and memorization . if you think something is hard , it’ll be hard

Cheat on your work to get it turned in on time, then try to get a tutor or teach it to yourself once you have the grade bullshit out of the way
