Timelines Overlap

The movie The Others is a must-watch! You would think intruders were living in the house with them. The intruders happened to be the people currently living in the house and they viewed them as ghosts!

We might all be intruders in different timelines! Here's my theory about ghosts. I’ve come to believe that ghosts don’t exist but that different timelines can overlap. It could be a moment in time leaking through a spot in the timeline and people view them as "ghosts" like someone walking down the stairs or looking out a window. It's like a time playback. They were alive in their timeline and that's what they were doing at that moment. Another classic apparition is someone passing through walls or floating above the floor. If timelines are colliding, it could be that the wall or the current floor height might not have existed when they were walking there in their own time.

Why do we only perceive "ghosts" from the past? Our perception is shaped entirely by history. We expect spirits to naturally come from the past. Old structures hold remnants of the past. I think of them as residual memories. You might not see what happened in the past but somehow the structures convey those events. History! Stories are passed down through generations. Our brains are wired to believe what we’re taught and told. If someone from the future collided with our timeline, would we recognize them as a ghost? We have no idea what the future looks like. The world might be taken over by robots that look like humans, like in the movies. Or would we just think they looked unusual or assume they were wearing a bizarre costume? Makes you think! 😅

I also think that everything has already happened, the past, present and the future! Think about TV stations showing different programs. When you change the channel, the one you were watching is still playing but you can't see it anymore. The present moment is simply where your consciousness (the TV tuner) happens to be focused right now. Just because you switch to channel 7 doesn't mean channel 4 has stopped broadcasting. It's still playing at the exact same time. Every channel, every season and every episode of a show has already been recorded and is playing on its own track. I’ve come to realize that the past, present and future all exist simultaneously. This led to another theory, simulation theory! There are countless times when people experience glitches!

Isn't it strange to think that the future is already playing somewhere else? It's just waiting for our awareness to catch up to it. Our entire existence has already been written! There was a you in the past, still alive somewhere in time; there's a you in the present, very much alive as it's where your consciousness is focused at the moment and there will be a you in the future, who could be alive or dead regardless of your decisions and actions in the past and present. 😅

You get what I mean? Ahahaha!
