Hi! As the title says, I’m a little scared for my future as a dev. I study a career that focuses on networks and signals but the job offers take me to the dev side (I’m still at university). When I started in the uni I liked the sense of challenge, having to scroll in stack overflow for hours to find a little fix, waking up in the middle of the night just to write the solution to a long-term problem are things that with time, I’m already missing.
I suffered the boom of AI in the third year of my career so rapidly I made the mistake of stopping learning and starting to trust all my projects to AI. Now I forgot all the things that I learned and I only vibecode in my job.
I graduate in one week
I’m scared.

bro, just go back and start doing the stuff you used to do. pick up your textbooks, look at your notes, scroll stack overflow, remember why you were doing all this in the first place. you're not tainted or anything, you just got tired at your job and started relying on a tool more than you wanted to. university is hard and you can burn out trying to learn everything. if you're not ready to change things now, just wait until your brain is recovered enough that you start to want to learn things again. you still have a whole life left to learn things and try different types of dev.
