Do I go behind my parent's back and get piercings?

Pretty much, on my 18th birthday I asked my parents if I could get snakebites. They told me "Yeah, when you move out." and because they didn't want me to struggle getting jobs. Which I GUESS is a good reason to be cautious with piercings. But idk why they care THAT much, plus I've expressed that I don't want to work for someone if piercings are what's stopping them from hiring me. That was in jan, and I keep seeing people with the piercings I want. I've never been so envious before in my life oh my gosh.

And ik it's weird for an 18 year old to be asking for his parents permission for things like this, but obviously I still live with them, and they're my only source of transportation that I trust. And I've just always been a little goodie 2 shoes, so "rebelling" against my parents or anyone has and prob will always be hard for me.

I would recommend getting fake ones since that might be a good compromise with your parents! You'll have time to test them out and see if they're truly what you want as well, then get the real ones once you move out. Obviously you can do whatever you want to your body as an adult, but that's my advice as someone who also lived with strict parents until I was 23

WAIT THATS A REALLY GOOD IDEA THANK YOU

No because that shit looks ridiculous and of all the hills to die on it seems like a pretty pointless one

It's up to you to do what you want.

But if you'll ask me, uh..... I don't think you should.

But i don't know, it's up to you what you want to do.
