Hello child of the web,
I'm Jae - your average 20-something-year-old, craving a nostalgic era of the internet. I am currently studying Art History and English Lit at uni. Started late, cuz I didn't know what I wanted to do. Prior I made some art and worked, only to wake up one day feeling I wanted to learn something.
I've had this urge to start blogging for a hot minute now but felt creating a personal website would feel like screaming into the void. This might also be a void, but it feels less like one, so here I am and here you are. How are you today, stranger? Forgive me as I romanticise that imagery of people in their own little worlds, taking their time to read this.
I thought it'd be fun to do a "what's in my bag" but make it "what's on my bedside table", as I write this from my bed...
- Two teddy bears, one big and one small
- Lip balm, Dermal Therapy berry flavour
- Escitalopram, in a bedazzled container
- Kobo, current read: Jacob's Room by Virginia Woolf
- Pink hair clip
- Pink water bottle
- Cuticle oil & a press-on nail that fell off - it's pink & has a pink heart stuck on it
- Pencil
- Clear marble
- My dogs meds, eye drops and skin cream
- OG tiger balm (iykyk)
What's on yours? I find a person's bedside table to be a picture of a relaxed sort of intimacy.
Anyway, that's a glimpse of me for now. I hope you're well and feel free to friend ![]()
