Hi! This question has been really weighing on me for a while now, and I just can’t seem to choose between my two favorite things in the world. Your opinion is greatly appreciated!
Figure skating - I’ve been doing this the longest, for about 2 years this winter. I take lessons every season, and do camps during the summer. It’s gotten a bit boring to me, and I don’t really enjoy it anymore. It was my dream for a while to become an Olympics skater, but we all know damn well that isn’t happening 😭 I still love skating just for fun, and maybe I can get into it again if I try harder
Ballet - I started ballet again (I used to do it as a kid) around last spring, and took a break all of summer. I think it’s super fun and I really enjoy it. The only bad part is the money I’d have to spend on classes, leotards, costumes, makeup, etc etc. I would kill to be a professional ballerina, and I feel like I’m making good progress, but I have such little time to perfect my stuff before I’m an adult. My mindset is literally “be a professional in this sport, or don’t do it all.” Raising quite the bar for myself

ballet is the top contender here imo—there’s objectively no gain in doing something you hold distaste for, you’ll quickly be burnt out

You shouldn't be too hard with you about the ballet thing, maybe you just need to take it more like a chill hobby, and about the money thing, maybe try to ensure you are financially stable enough to cover everything that ballet entails before you start taking it more seriously.
I know that in theory it sounds easy, and that in practice it’s likely complicated (especially since I don’t really know you) but I still hope you manage to achieve whatever you set your mind to. Cheers!!
