I'm going to talk seriously today; I've been thinking about how to talk about this while trying to believe he's dead.
I still can't believe it, Oliver Tree wasn't my favorite singer but I have an absurd amount of affection for him, I discovered his music around the same time as everyone else, 2020 to 2022, and it's incredible, all of his songs. I'm Brazilian and seeing him coming to Brazil made me very happy, but when I heard the tragic news I could only think "I hate this country." Every country has its good and bad sides, but I would leave Brazil as soon as I could. I can't believe he's dead, I won't accept it, and it hurts me even more that such a good person died in this rotten country of corruption. Another thing I hate is Melanie Martins' fans; they treat Oliver as just an ex of Melanie's, but he's so much more, and I dare say he's better than her. I'm proud to know that I knew him even before I found out who Melanie was. I'm in mourning and denial for such a good person.

I completely understand you. I was so shocked to hear he passed away, especially in such a tragic way. I wasn't a full-on "fan", I only listened to a few songs and that was it, but it's so sad that we lost someone so talented and passionate, as well as genuine in a world full of fakes.
I hate how some Melanie Martinez fans are incredibly toxic and insufferable. Melanie herself has defended him during and after the relationship they had (at least what I saw and read). I don't keep up with her, but she did share a heartfelt message after he passed, which I think shows how genuine the relationship was.
It's heartbreaking to lose someone that passionate and real. We won't find someone like him in this industry for awhile. Rest easy Oliver Tree :( 🙏
You're absolutely right, he was amazing and one of my most cherished artists.
