Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001) was an influential American singer, actress, and model known as the "Princess of R&B". Rising to fame at age 14 with her 1994 debut Age Ain't Nothing But a Number, she redefined R&B with hits like "Try Again" and roles in Romeo Must Die.
