Introducing myself

My name is Jamara. Jamara is a unisex name which means that it can be used for both boys and girls. I’m an American teenager who lives with my mom in the UK. We moved to the UK shortly after we left my dad. I’m a TTI survivor. (TTI stands for Troubled Teen Industry which is a system of wilderness programs, residential programs, boot camps and other programs that abuse teens for profit). My dad sent me to a twelve week long TTI wilderness program which was highly abusive. (Among other bad experiences I was punched in the face by a grown man, denied first aid for a knee injury and subjected to a forced strip search that was more like an SA). 

Since me and my mom moved to the UK life has been great. I love how much later school starts here than in America. In America I started at 7:30AM. In the UK I start at 9AM. All that extra sleep feels so good. Since moving to the UK I have found an adorable girlfriend called Andrea. I love her so much.

I’m willing to be friends with anyone who wants to be friends with me. I will accept adults as well as other kids because I like to have some adults on my friends list who I can turn to for support and advice but please remember that I’m a minor and keep any interactions appropriate.
