My dog is older than me

My dog is older than I am. It originally belonged to an old lady who lived next door to us when me and my mom first moved to the UK last year. I used to go round and do bits to help her like shopping, bits about the house, mowing the lawn. That sort of thing. When she had to go into a nursing home she couldn’t take the dog with her. Rather than see it go to strangers she gave it to me. The dog,a female highland terrier, is 16 years old. I’m 15. My dog is literally older than me.

I still go to visit the old lady in the nursing home and I take her photos of the dog to look at. After all she had the dog since before I was even born.
