RIP to my 3DS XL (Maybe??)

When I was growing up, I used to play on a DS Lite and 3DS. However, since my 3DS was never modded (wayyy too young at the time to understand how to do it, nor did I have the money for an SD card or access to a laptop lol), I never really played many games on it. Eventually, I completely forgot I even owned them until recently.

Before Christmas 2024, I had asked my family members if I could get a 3DS XL, since I wanted to replay a lot of my old games & get new ones (again, I forgot about og 3DS lol, but I eventually gave that away to my cousin after I found it).

Santa delivered, and I got my 3DS lol 😊 After a year of playing it, I finally got around to modding it and adding new games (Style savvy, Yokai watch, more pokemon games, every oasis, the legend of zelda ocorina + majoras mask, and some more).

HOWEVER... RECENTLY (as in.. last night 😥) my 3DS XL charger decided to fuck itself and completely stop working... I've been using this charger for YEARS for my original 3DS + DS Lite (It was one of those cool chargers with multiple charger connector 'heads' ?), so I was really sad to see it finally kick the bucket 💔 but its made me really nervous for some reason..

Even though I have only had this 3DS XL for 2 years-ish and its in pretty good condition,, I keep getting nervous about the charger port itself. Im scared the charger port is loose and thats why it hasnt been charging at all. Im really hoping this isnt the case, as there are no places near me that offer repair services for DS consoles.... 😢

Anyway... I ordered a new charger for it. If it doesnt work, I will cry. But I'll probably just steal my little brothers NEW 3DS XL (the story on how he got that is crazy??? basically,, my aunt found it on the side of the road, deadass. Its in pretty good condition too. Feel bad for the little kid that dropped it though lol).

But yeah.. I'll be really upset if my 3DS has to be worked on... esp since parts are so expensive rn & theres no local shops near me that will work on it :/
